CLEANING WITH ULTRASOUND

Gentle and thorough at the same time.
Ultrasound is the term for vibrations that are beyond the perception of the human ear, i.e. above 20 kHz. These vibrations expand in longitudinal waves into the ambient matter; in ultrasonic cleaning units they expand into the liquid. For cleaning, vibrations between 20 and 130 kHz are applied. In special cases even megasound frequencies might be required.
These high-frequency vibrations create tiny vacuum bubbles in the liquid which build up within seconds and implode immediately.
The implosion of the bubbles stir the liquid locally and this is what removes the dirt particles from the immersed items.
